The HABIT's House
In a small neighborhood, that used to be vibrant but now no one lived there, there was one house. This house, had death, and life living amongst it. As I speak, a pure white tom who used to bear human features padded forward and up to the door. As his hard, icy blue eyes rested on it, it popped open and allowed him to enter. On his head he bore a white fedora, with a black band in the middle. He refused to get rid of this one item that symbolized him. He simply shrank it to fit accordingly. Damn whoever changed his hands to paws, and his skin to fur! He sighed and went on with it. "Gather, Rabbits! One to all! Gather, Rabbits! It's time to fall!" He called with a laugh. He didn't mean it, he simply liked to keep a threatening position amongst his Rabbits...
Re: The HABIT's House
Vaermina popped her head out from Vinny's old room upon hearing HABIT's voice. She happily trotted over to him and sat a couple feet away so as to not crowd him. She sat and waited to see what he was calling for, she wasn't really scared of HABIT. As weird as that sounded, she actually felt safer around him than she did on her own. Sure, he tortured things and ate kittens for fun, but as far as she was concerned he was about the only cat she really trusted anymore. It was hard to trust cats when you had the Proxies and Zalgo's demons or whatever running around.

Re: The HABIT's House
"Dread! Jessalynn!" He called. After no responce, it hit him that he had sent them and Firebrand out. Only Vearmina remained. He shrugged, and stood. "I would like to inform you that once more we have a visitor. His name, you ask? Is Michael. He is a very... Disturbed young Tom, and is to be treated carefully" he explained.
Re: The HABIT's House
Vaermina listened intently to what HABIT was saying, she didn't know who Jessalynn was, but she guessed that she'd find out sooner or later. Besides, they were talking about Michael, not Jessalynn. She said nothing, but simply nodded her head slightly, showing that she understood.

Re: The HABIT's House
"Good! I'm counting on you, Rabbit. One wrong move and it won't be me at the end of the knife in your chest. This cat is volatile" he turned, and pulled out a few machetes from the drawer next to the door. "I'm gonna scatter these, so you can protect yourself just in case. Fir--" there was a tapping on the door. "Someone made up their mind early... Plan B! I'm gonna hide here--" he slid under the couch and crouched down, hidden. "And you're gonna answer the door!"
Re: The HABIT's House
Vaermina watched HABIT with interest as he opened a drawer and pulled out machetes. She wondered what she would find if she just went around and opened random drawers. Then again she didn't really want to know. And protect herself, was this cat really so bad that there had to be random weapons just placed at random? A small hint of fear crept into her eyes as she was asked to open the door, but she quickly shook it out and walked over to the door. What would happen when she opened it? Why was HABIT hiding under a couch? 'Only one way to find out!' she thought then reached up, twisting the doorknob and hooking it with her paw to drag it open. She stayed mostly behind the door other than the one paw, but did manage a light voiced, "Come in!"

Re: The HABIT's House
There, behind the door.... Stood a...
....rather pitiful looking kit.
It was a tom, with scrapes here and there, had a sleek white pelt with silver tabby markings, and large glowing yellow eyes filled with an anxious look. He was slightly shaken, as if having saw something very recent that no cat his age should've seen.

Re: The HABIT's House
Vaermina poked her head out from behind the door and looked at the kit, simply asking, "What is your name, little one?" then she looked out behind him. "Would you like to come in? I can catch you something to eat if you're hungry.." she offered. She didn't think that the kit looked like it wanted to eat, but it was polite to ask.

Re: The HABIT's House
"My...--My name is Michael and I-- ow!" He was about to respond to being hungry, when a sharp pain shot through him and he felt a red hot jolt burn on the space between his shoulder blades. HABIT slid out from the couch, creeping around quietly, almost invisible. "Ow ow ow!" The kit turned in circles trying to peer at his shoulders, when a spurt of darkness emitted from him, and when it settled, two large wings protruded from the kit's back. They were black and scaly, not at all feathery plumes. They had sharp horns in the middle where they bend. "TADA, now you know why the pathetic thing is important" HABIT suddenly snickered from behind Vearmina. "Welcome, Nephalem Michael"
Re: The HABIT's House
Vaermina watched with interest, jumping backwards as wings protruded from the kit's back. She quickly leaped forward again to make sure the door didn't hit the little thing. The wings may not have been feathered, but that didn't mean they weren't beautiful. She admired them in awe for a moment before smiling and asking, "How did you come across this one?" the question of course, was directed towards HABIT.

Re: The HABIT's House
"He is the last of his kind, the forbidden offspring of an angel and a demon" HABIT explained and picked the kit up with surprising gentleness. "He has a sister but, she is not born yet" he said and sat the kit down on the front steps and began to examine him, cleaning his pelt and tending to the kit's cuts and scrapes. Very out of character for the malicious HABIT...
Re: The HABIT's House
Vaermina watched as HABIT groomed the kit, she didn't know that he could be like this. What she had always seen him as was more of a ruthless leader that tortured others and ate kits for fun. It fit him well. This whole fatherly thing was sort of intriguing.

Re: The HABIT's House
HABIT began to prickle as his fur arose, his eyes flicked around to meet Vaermina, then for some reason, he quickly looked back to the kit before him for some reason. He actually felt embarrassed to show compassion, or...was it embarrassment? It was hard to tell, he rarely showed vulnerable emotions, if not at all. After the kit was clean, he softly nudged him towards the kitchen. "Let's get you something to eat, Hm?" He said softly, taking the chance that only Vaermina was here to show he could actually care for things.
Re: The HABIT's House
As HABIT's eyes met her's she smiled. She liked this side to him. It was kind, loving, and careing. She liked how he normally was as well, but this seemed more personal. She walked beside him as he nudged the kit into the kitchen, she was still kind of iffy on HABIT's stance on physical contact, but she decided to take a risk and slowly and carefully wrapped her tail around his. Watching for any signs of discomfort as she did so, she didn't want to push herself on him.

Re: The HABIT's House
It took a little moment, but HABIT's hard gaze softened and his muscles relaxed, his tail curling back. Although, he was obviously now embarrassed as his ears were warm and that caused his gaze to stay down on his stained pink-red paws. Michael turned and looked at the two, confused at HABIT's sudden change of emotions. Wait, was he smiling NON-sadistically!?!
Re: The HABIT's House
She couldn't lie, HABIT's embarrassment was slightly amusing, and a little cute. However she tried her hardest to keep it from her features. She was happy that HABIT was showing emotion, and she didn't want him to think that it made him look weak in front of her. She rubbed her cheek against the side of his neck and let out a small purr. She then looked over at Michael and asked, "What would you like to eat, little one?" with a warm smile.

Re: The HABIT's House
Then the unimaginable happened. The soft sound of a warm purr came from the white tom's throat. Michael smiled and purred "Anything! A mouse, preferably," he said before dipping his head in thanks
Re: The HABIT's House
Vaermina almost bristled because of the sound that had just emitted from HABIT. 'Did he just purr? I think he just purred!' she stared at him for a moment to get over what had almost been a heart attack then asked, "I don't suppose you let mice into your house?"

Re: The HABIT's House
He tied his nose to her ear in soft affection, before lifting his head and looking at a dark corner. He sharply said "What are you staring at, Candleverse thing? Make your self useful and catch the young kit a mouse" he jerked his head towards the door. After a moment, he softened again and picked up the soft purr again.
Re: The HABIT's House
Vaermina giggled as HABIT touched her ear, then looked in the corner to see what he had averted his attention towards. "You have a lot of weird friends." she spoke, but then finished with, "But normal people are boring." She buried her head into his neck, "You're soft." she stated, grinning.

Re: The HABIT's House
"Well, I created him:her, I don't know what the fuck makes them tic... But it does it's job pretty well!" HABIT chuckled, before the purr in his throat went from a soft purr to a rumbling purr, and he swore his ears were gonna burn off. He brushed his cheek back along her's.

(Can't say that I wouldn't stalk it)
Once they entered the kitchen she lifted her head and looked around. Nothing really that interesting, it looked like a kitchen to her. She continued rubbing her head against him without giving it any more thought.

Re: The HABIT's House
HABIT knew it wasn't normal, it looked normal, until you went into the fridge. He couldn't help the little chuckle, both at the sudden affection he felt which he never had felt before and the fact that Vaermina had no idea what she was getting into
Re: The HABIT's House
Vaermina continued to ignore about everything but HABIT, simply making sure the she didn't fall over or hit something. She didn't really think about how much blood had been on his paws, or how many minds that he had tortured to insanity. She didn't need to, it didn't really seem to matter to her. She respected HABIT and his work was meant to be appreciated just as fine art. It helped control the population anyway.
